چکیده

Abstract A new method to synthesize complexes of the type [(CNC)Ru II (NN)L] n+ has been introduced, where CNC is a tridentate pincer composed two (benz)imidazole derived NHC rings and pyridyl ring, NN bidentate aromatic diimine ligand, L=bromide or acetonitrile, n=1 2. Following this series six synthesized characterized by spectroscopic, analytic, crystallographic, computational methods. Their electrochemical properties have studied via cyclic voltammetry under both N 2 CO atmospheres. Photocatalytic reduction was performed using these in presence (sensitized) absence (self‐sensitized) an external photosensitizer. This study evaluates effect different CNC, NN, L ligands sensitized self‐sensitized photocatalysis. Catalysts bearing benzimidazole show much better activity for photocatalysis as compared catalysts imidazole pincer. Furthermore, requires ligand with catalyst ACN being most active TON=85 TOF=22 h −1 electron donating 4,4′‐dimethyl‐2,2′‐bipyridyl (dmb)

Photocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction with rhodium-based catalysts in solution and heterogenized within metal-organic frameworks.

The first photosensitization of a rhodium-based catalytic system for CO2 reduction is reported, with formate as the sole carbon-containing product. Formate has wide industrial applications and is seen as valuable within fuel cell technologies as well as an interesting H2 -storage compound. Heterogenization of molecular rhodium catalysts is accomplished via the synthesis, post-synthetic linker e...

Platinum nanoparticles strongly associated with graphitic carbon nitride as efficient co-catalysts for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution under visible light.

Platinum (Pt) nanoparticles with <4 nm diameter loaded on graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) by reduction at 673 K behave as efficient co-catalysts for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution under visible light (λ >420 nm). This is achieved by strong Pt-support interaction due to the high temperature treatment, which facilitates efficient transfer of photoformed conduction band electrons on g-C3N4 to...
